Dasey is just made of win.

And Sheldon acting as the agent of karma, being all "oh so you don't want me in your band, huh?" And beating them. Then doing his "Piano Man" number and kicking the chair out from under himself!!!

Plus there was their little nod to the movie "The Committments" with the montage of horrible auditions in the living room.

Sheldon is such a hilarious character! I was watching "Battle of the Bands" a few days ago and I just couldn't stop laughing whenever he was on the screen. That song he sings is kind of sad, but for some reason I find it hilarious. Probably because it's Sheldon...and I just think he's the funniest character ever!! :D

Anyway, yeah Battle is the episode that made me think the Dasey stuff might all be on purpose, and its still one of my favorite episodes.

Really- it's almost perfect. Sheldon, Sam and Ralph(and his "leatherish" pants), Marti mentioning Daphne, some great Paul lines, George and Nora acting more like the oldest set of kids than the parents, the "be nice clause", the intoduction of the fact that Derek and Casey's rooms are connected by a vent, a little bit of Lizwin('kid plays hard ball), a whole lotta Dasey, and Mike in guyliner. What more could we want?

(Random personal note- This one is in the first handful of Life With Derek episodes I ever saw, and its the episode when I fell in love with Mike. It might have been the guyliner.. but I had to look him up after this one. )

The other one I'd add to that list is "The Poxfather", which was the first episode that completely turned me on to Dasey to begin with!

And I have to join you in your obsession with that Polo shirt Derek wears in "Middle Man-ic" and "Lies My Brother Told Me". It is a very nice shirt. He is just so good looking it's almost scary at time!

I can't wait for the rest of Season 2 and Season 3 :D

Out of every single LWD episode they have, Male Code Blue has to be my all-time favorite. The tension, the jealousy, the angst! What more could a Dasey-filled teenager want?

Yeah, Male Code Blue is amazing. Poor Derek doesn't even know what jealousy is, so he has to invent a "code." So cute.
I think everyone pretty much agrees that Battle is saturated with Daseyness too- it was definitely the ep that cemented my ship status (and the first one I saw was Date with Derek).
And they do have ridiculous amounts of eye sex.
And that shirt is pretty sweet, I mean, come on, "only real men wear pink," right? But Derek re-wears his clothes a lot (especially that brown and orange one) but I haven't seen any ones Casey repeats...anyone know of any?

Well, I know that Casey wore that grey/pink long sleeved shirt in "The Room" and then again in "The Wedding". Off the top of my head that's the one that stands out the most. Also, I think she wears that long blue shirt with the frilly white (or off-white) blouse in "The Fall" and then again in "Marti The Monster". I hope I'm thinking of the right episodes. And that my HORRIBLE descriptions are actually making some sense. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd go and actually try and find those pics for you...;)

I'm pretty sure there are more, but those are the ones that are sticking out to me in my head right now :)

How much do I love "Grade Point: Average"? well, gee, they dress up as a MARRIED couple. I mean really.haha that whole 'cow quacks' thing cracked me up. Like, Marti is smart enough to make George and Nora think she REALLY thinks a cow quacks? I LOVE kids like that.The blue screen scenes from GP:A are my favorite of all time, ever. I can never find the word. And also, Casey in those scenes looks just a tad like my cousin, who at the time' had a boyfriend named Derek, so you can imagine it like...cemented any wacky theories I was having.
Male Code Blue. I'm about to make a short blog about that one. And yes, you're right. If that scene doesn’t convince you Derek is mad about Casey…then I don’t know what will.but of course, you can’t not include the fighting over Sam. Especially remembering those lines “wait, that’s what we’re fighting about?” well, yeah, Derek, what did you think?
Date with Derek. Yep. She SPIES on him. I still love that.
He Shoots, She Scores. Oh that second pic, he’s pushing her around! Or at least it looks like it, although really he’s shaking his finger at her. Still.
Middle Man-ic. You don’t like? It IS where Sam and Casey break up. Anyway. It’s not really one of my faves though. OH MY GOSH with the shirt! I knew I wasn’t the only one. I LOVE this shirt. The Venturian Candidate. All kinds of love. A Derek happy face. Oh wow, she does! I love that! Schoolgirl fantasies. I KNEW I wasn’t the only one who noticed that was Casey, but like, no one ever mentioned it and I suppose I was like “gee, maybe we’re not supposed to notice?” but I couldn’t ignore it. It’s like, screaming fantasy at me. And Eye sex. TOO MUCH. LOVE them. SHELDON! I know we all know how much I love Sheldon. Oh, I know, with the pancakes. Like “um, I screwed up. But here’s some pancakes, because I know how much you love them and I just want to make it up to you. Please forgive me? Lets go have hot make up sex now.” Tinker! He should be in more episodes. Pretty boy.
Battle of the Bands. Ralph is so pretty. He too rocks the guyliner in this episode, doesn’t he? There’s an Edwin repeat shirt in that scene, where he decides to manage D-Rock, that I like. It has this whole “I wanna be like Derek” vibe. “Derek is annoyed that Casey is perfect after finding out she can sing. So obviously- he's always thought she was good looking? Thank you LwD writers. Nice.” I never thought of that. That’s awesome! Oh, and hey, look, George and Nora are almost sort of being PARENTS! Getting their children to sign contracts that they’ll stop tormenting each other. Nice. And the stage grinding. I mean, I wrote a fic about it. But oh, man. Every time I see it I just squee a little more.
Lies My Brother Told Me. They are kind of coordinated. With the plaid and the layering. I wonder if anyone had told them if they would have changed? “Derek highlighted all the sappy passages for her. Awww.” Which just goes to show how much effort he goes to to get Casey out of trouble, and this time he’s getting nothing in return. Not to mention, Mr. “Slackadaisical” wouldn’t have spent this much time getting himself out of trouble.
So…now that I wrote you a novel…haha.

MCB is just, honestly? I've never quite moved on from McB. I've talked about it so many times, and I never get tired of talking about. Really, Derek's reaction to the Sasey is always jealous- but in McB its just insane. I mean, watching the episode, you can't come away not feeling like Derek's motivation was jealousy- even if Derek doesn't know it.

And yeah the whole, "wait thats what we're fighting about?"

What did Derek THINK they were fighting about? God I'd love to know.

Grade Point: Average: I loved how they dressed up as Percy and Mary Shelley. It also helps that Percy had some kinky thoughts of love in real life. I mean, he had his first wife live with him and his second wife....that's just odd.

Also, I always enjoyed how Casey and Derek exited the classroom behind a random "high school couple." It just made them seem more ... couple-ish in my warped mind.

Male Code Blue: This is the episode that started my shippy thoughts about Derek and Casey. Derek is clearly jealous of Sam's interest in Casey. It's just obvious.

Date With Derek: I love Casey's preoccupation with Derek and Emily in this episode. I mean, she cancels her "monthaversary" with Sam just to dress up and spy on the date. And this is the "monthaversary" she never shuts up about throughout the entire episode. Sorry Sam, but Derek is Casey's number one thought.

He Shoots, He Scores: Well, this is just classic Derek/Casey competition here. So that's always fun.

Middle Manic: LOVED the Paul/Derek confrontation. There needs to be more of those...

Oh! And add me to the list of pink shirt lovers. That's one of my favorite Season 2 shirts, if not my sole favorite.

Venturian Candidate: Well, you got to love Sheldon, and I love the screencap you selected of him. He just watches them with a grin plastered on his face. Makes me love him more...

And well, powdering noses, political intern *winks* fantasies, chocolate chip pancakes (which Derek eats despite his anger towards Casey...love it!), and Derek/Casey control issues...what more could you want!?!

Battle of the Bands: Don't you love how happy they are on stage when they're grinding? They claim to hate each other at home and at school, but their attitude on stage says otherwise. Lots of love in that episode.

Lies My Brother Told Me: We see Derek getting his ego fluffed by Casey. He'll do this again later on, specifically in Season 3. He likes this. I also loved how not once did Derek try to bail on Casey. Even when it looked like the gig was up, he was still preparing himself to lie for Casey's behalf. Did he receive any reward for this? I know she was going to pay Edwin, but that was a minor reward for all the stuff he did here.

I think this should make up for my tardiness in posting.

In regards to that first picture. I just thought to mention this. Casey wants to fail, but who can she pair up with to make this happen? Derek, of course! and we all know Derek does the same thing to pass. So then when Casey FINDS OUT that Derek has made up the assigned partner thing to pass, she gets all bent out of shape about it! EVEN THOUGH she's doing the EXACT SAME THING!

Oh Casey, do I even need to say it? Your SCARED because you BOTH NEED EACH OTHER!
